Blood Analysis

Blood investigations can help

“Having blood investigations can help us obtain answers and point us in the right direction to the key points we are searching for- ‘what is causing my hair loss?’ almost like piecing together a puzzle”

When an individual has hair or scalp concerns, we can turn to your blood report for potential answers to the questions we may have during your consultation.

Many times, individuals obtain blood investigations via a GP or privately with the result outcome stated as ‘normal’. Although these levels are within the normal ranges and values, as a trichologist we look at these levels differently as we look for optimisation and not normalisation.

We look at your bloods results as an individual along with other key points in your story as at times there can be multiple contributing factors and with levels at lower end of normal or borderline this can at times be a catalyst for that ‘perfect storm’ of contributing factors.

Multiple blood reports

We can also look back at multiple blood reports to check for any changes, fluctuations or at times peaks and troughs of levels.

At Margaret Simpson Trichology we can inter-operate your reports obtained from the NHS or Privately. We can advise you on which blood investigations would be most beneficial for yourself to request and the best method for you to obtain these, whether this would be via the NHS or obtained at a private clinic.

Bringing blood reports along with you to clinic on your initial consultation can be helpful although not paramount, you can still go ahead with your consultation as we can obtain these on a later date and Margaret will review these and give you her thoughts once they have been carried out or once a copy of your previous report has been provided.
